Our "Guest Artist from Japan Program" brings the 11th Headmaster
of the Hyôhô Niten Ichi-ryû, Iwami
Toshio Harukatsu Sohke.
Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu was founded by the famed Japanese swordsman,
Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1645) about 400 years ago.
Iwami Sohke will give two (2) Embu demonstrations, conduct
a lecture on Hyoho Niten
Ichi-ryu and Miyamoto Musashi, and conduct a seminar during the Aki
Matsuri weekend.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet Iwami Sohke and learn about
one of the most distinctive ancient Martial Arts of Japan!

Martial Art demonstrations by local dojo members.

Arts, Workshops, Nomi-no-Ichi

drawing, etc.
Where else can you shop, eat, and browse so many diverse and interesting
family activities in one location? Yes, there really is something
for everyone! The matsuri is an excellent opportunity to experience
some of Japan's rich culture heritage!
