Our "Guest Artist from Japan Program" brings the 11th Headmaster of the Hyôhô Niten Ichi-ryû, Iwami Toshio Harukatsu Sohke.

Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu was founded by the famed Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1645) about 400 years ago.

Iwami Sohke will give two (2) Embu demonstrations, conduct a lecture on Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu and Miyamoto Musashi, and conduct a seminar during the Aki Matsuri weekend.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet Iwami Sohke and learn about one of the most distinctive ancient Martial Arts of Japan!

In addition to the featured Embu, lecture and seminar presented by Iwami Sohke; the Aki Matsuri Martial Arts Manager & Team are delighted to present a very exciting program of many Japanese Martial Art demonstrations by local dojo members.

But, don't miss the Exhibits, Performing Arts, Workshops, Nomi-no-Ichi (Japanese flea market), Yatai (food stalls), raffle drawing, etc.

Where else can you shop, eat, and browse so many diverse and interesting family activities in one location? Yes, there really is something for everyone! The matsuri is an excellent opportunity to experience some of Japan's rich culture heritage!
